Marcus A. Roberts

Marcus A. Roberts was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Being raised as the youngest of 4 children by a single mother, Marcus learned early on the value of discipline, determination, and hard work.

After graduating high school, he went on to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA where he graduated with honors. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at The University of Texas at Austin to further pursue his dreams of being an attorney, something that he has desired to accomplish since his childhood. After passing the bar in his home state of Texas and practicing criminal defense in Waco, Texas for a few years, the urge to move back to Atlanta hit him like a ton of bricks. He has always admired the people of Atlanta and the tremendous opportunities available in the city if one were willing to work hard to achieve success.

Marcus started his legal career in Atlanta vigorously defending traffic citations and other minor misdemeanors for PrePaid Legal clients in Dekalb County, which gave him great joy. Marcus has always had the desire to help those in need of care. Throughout his tenure serving PrePaid Legal clients at the law firm of Deming, Parker, Hoffman, Campbell & Daly, he maintained his strong desire to establish his own law firm; a desire Marcus has held for nearly as long as he knew he wanted to be an attorney.

Marcus, in 2009, established the Law Firm of Marcus A. Roberts & Associates LLC. He began his practice specializing in the area of criminal defense, helping thousands of clients secure justice in, what is often, an unjust criminal justice system. He experienced great success in that arena and, to this day, still holds a Public Defender position in the City of Stone Mountain, GA. Marcus absolutely loves being able to afford competent and zealous representation to those that would, otherwise, be without counsel. He has been blessed with an uncanny ability to relate to others personally, without regard to race, nationality, socio-economic status or the like. He simply meets people where they are without a judgmental attitude. Marcus’ firm expanded into a predominantly personal injury practice over the course of the last 5 years. During that time, he has secured millions of dollars on behalf of his deserving clients! Marcus has a wealth of experience, having been practicing law for 13 years in November 2017. It is this experience, the victories and defeats, which he delivers to every client that his firm is honored to represent.

Though Marcus has achieved a tremendous amount of success to this point in his life, he is beaming with eagerness and anticipation at what is to come. With an unyielding work ethic, a healthy respect for his fellow man, and an adamant desire to provide justice for his clients, Marcus IS the attorney you want on YOUR side!
